people really need to stop making fun of young trans boys who go through the “im a soft plant boy uwu” phase, who dye their hair pastel colors, who go through the space prince phase, who dresses very feminine. realizing you’re trans can be pretty tough so staying “soft” can be a good middle ground for these young boys who were previously raised feminine. making fun of young trans men that call themselves soft/soft boys is so harmful. let them find themselves, grow out of it on their own. if you consider yourself an “elder” and make fun of these kids you’re a terrible role model.
if you’re cis you can rb this just don’t speak on the subject
also just. stop making fun of gnc trans men altogethor. its not something to grow out of for everyone and thats just as okay and acceptable as it is for boys who its just a phase for.
how a trans man wants to present himself isnt anyones business but his and not a single one of them deserves to receive shit for it
This is why the Bury Your Gays trope is so horrible. When every popular story featuring a minority ends with that minority character dead or evil, children are hurt. And shone of them don’t have the cottage to ask for help the way the author of this comic did.
Imagine: Humans accidentally insulting aliens using common idioms that don’t make sense when you don’t know they’re figures of speech

Human: Penny for your thoughts?
Alien: You taught me about currency, have I forgotten the value of “penny”? Do you really think my thougts are worth so little? I thought you liked conversing with me!
Human: Wait, hold on

Human: We can kill two birds with one stone if we-
Alien: I’ve told you time and again my people are primarily pacifists, and herbivorous regardless. Why would you suggest such an activity?
Human: No, wait, it was just a-
Alien: I will have no part of it, and this nonsequitor is irrelevant to our conversation. Please strike birds on your own time.

Human: So is there a method to your madness here?
Alien: *offended* Are you questioning my sanity?
Human: I was just-
Alien: Because that’s difficult to take from a being with the IQ of a gleesnork.
Human: I don’t know what that is but fuck you too

Human 1: *talking to someone about alien, sees alien approaching* Ah, speak of the devil and he shall appear!
Musical prodigy Alma Deutscher aged 11 (seen here with younger sister Helen), is staging her first full-length opera, Cinderella.
Composer, pianist, violinist… Alma learned to read music before she could read words. She began playing the piano aged two and at four years old she was composing her own music.
So like obviously this girl is super awesome but ALSO that is the coolest take on Cinderella I have EVER heard it’s giving me fucking chills
I just checked for myself, seems that this blog is not showing up on tumblr search. I know it DID used to. I checked my settings to be sure I didn’t make it hidden from searches … is there any way I can tell if my blog’s been locked off because of safe search? This is weird.
I’ve heard about some sort of tumblr change this week to hide all sensitive content from all forms of search. I’m guessing depression is considered sensitive.
This is weird – there are still a lot of depression blogs out there when you search on depression. Some people have suggested because the posts have links that is the culprit, but I don’t know if that’s the whole story because the blog depressioncomix itself is not findable but my other comics blog which works the same way as this one is unaffected. This is still very weird.
I know they’ve been erasing blogs having to do with Chronic Pain, not sure about any others.
“Boone, Hays, and Myers encountered a man identified as L.H. in the crowd and arrested him. The undercover detective, a 22-year veteran of the police force, was dressed as a protester and providing information to officers about potential criminal activity in the crowd.
According to the indictment, Boone, Hays, and Myers used unreasonable force: throwing the detective to the ground, kicking him, and hitting him with a riot baton “while he was compliant and not posing a physical threat to anyone.”
When they learned that he was an undercover officer, the three men then lied about what they had done and accused him of resisting arrest, the indictment said. They tried to contact L.H. to convince him not to pursue disciplinary or legal action, and Boone, Hays, and Myers also met with or texted various potential witnesses to try to get them to join the cover-up, the indictment states.”
